The Wolves were taking part in their first competitive match since Malanda's death due to Germany's lengthy winter break.
Fans, players and officials paid tribute to Malanda by applauding in unison before observing a minute's silence in memory of the 20-year-old.
A large banner which read 'Fur Immer in Unseren Herzen' which translates to 'Forever In Our Hearts' had been placed in one of the main home stands at the stadium.
Wolfsburg supporters also held up No 19 posters, which relates to Malanda's squad number at the club.

The home side took the lead after just four minutes when Bast Dost netted an early opener past Manuel Neuer after latching on to a pass from De Bruyne.
Dost doubled the scoreline shortly before the interval by hitting a beautifully-struck shot which nestled in Neuer's goal after clipping the woodwork.
De Bruyne looked to the sky after scoring his side's third in the 53rd minute before Juan Bernat pulled one back for the Bundesliga champions.
The Belgium international ensured his side claimed all three points by grabbing his second goal of the match with 17 minutes left on the clock.

'He’s a constant support with everything. When I thought about sacking it all off, he was like, "Don’t be ridiculous, just stick with it." It’s everything about him: he’s an incredible person.'
But now that his music career has been revived, thanks to the formation of McBusted, the stunning brunette admitted that new challenges have been presented at home.

That said, the Birmingham native pointed out that there's room for improvement when it comes to her handsome husband's tidiness.
'Bills, washing… he’s just s**t at that stuff,' she told the publication, adding: 'He’s f***ing messy! This morning I counted seven pairs of his shoes in the hallway – who needs that many shoes by the door?'
Having enjoyed a huge surge in popularity thanks to her hosting gig on Big Brother and, subsequently, The Voice, Emma isn't taking one moment of her soaring career for granted.
'It’s lovely I have Big Brother and The Voice, so that’s two regular jobs I love,' she said. 'But even before then, when I wasn’t working and I couldn’t find work, if something was offered to me and it didn’t feel right, I wouldn’t take it.
'And I probably should have, because I wasn’t earning any money of my own – Matt was keeping me! But I just didn’t want to sell out.'

Tiger Woods hits worst ever round as a professional with nightmare 11-over par second round in the Phoenix Open

  • Tiger Woods set to miss consecutive cuts for the first time in his career
  • Struggled to two-over-par 73 in the opening round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Thursday

Tiger Woods’ much-heralded return to action ended in abject failure yesterday as he shot his worst round as a professional to miss the cut by a country mile at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
While Woods’ attendance at the event came with a fanfare and a record crowd, his 11-over-par round of 82 matched the miserable wet weather at TPC Scottsdale.
It was just the 13th time in his career that Woods had missed the cut in a professional event and it left him last on the early second-round leaderboard — exactly where he finished at his own World Challenge event in December on his comeback from injury.

THE HORROR STATS

  • This is only the fourth time Woods has shot 80+ in 1,147 rounds on the PGA Tour — and the second as a pro. The first was 81 at the 2002 Open at Muirfield, in bad weather.
  • 44 on the back nine tied his worst nine-hole score as a pro — at Memorial in 2013.
  • This is the first time Woods has missed the cut in two consecutive PGA Tour events, having bowed out early of the US PGA Championship last August.
  • His absymal round contained six bogeys, two double bogeys, a triple bogey... and two birdies.
Woods, who struggled last year after having back surgery in March and took four months off from August to fully recover, expected to be a little rusty.
But he had not planned on propping up the 132-man field, especially after comments before the tournament about feeling as good as ever under the direction of new swing consultant Chris Como.
The 39-year-old hit a triple bogey, two double bogeys, six bogeys and just two birdies to close on 13-over-par. It was so bad that all he could do was try to laugh it off. ‘I’m just doing this so I don’t get fined,’ Woods joked in reference to Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch’s infamous line at a Super Bowl media day this week.
‘We all have days like this. Unfortunately mine was in a public setting. But even on bad days like this you just have to keep fighting.’

Woods put most of the blame on adapting to changes in his swing. He said: ‘I was caught between patterns, old pattern, new pattern.
'I got it better on my back nine and hit some better shots, but I’ve still got a lot of work to do on it.’
So much so that Woods suggested he may skip tomorrow’s Super Bowl in Phoenix and instead practice at home in Florida.

WOODS' WORST PROFESSIONAL ROUND SCORECARD

That's a Pure And Simple look! Make-up free Myleene Klass is a far cry from her usual glamorous self in black glasses and jogging bottoms

No comments :

Myleene Klass is rarely seen with a hair out of place.
But on Friday afternoon, the 36-year-old looked a far cry from her usual glamorous self.
As she made her way through the streets of north London, the make-up free star was sporting an eye-catching, yet bizarre mismatched ensemble.

What happened? Myleene Klass looked a far cry from her usual glamorous self when she stepped out in Friday in a bizarre mismatched ensemble

Myleene wore a pair of dark grey jogging bottoms, which for some reason she thought would look even more stylish by tucking them into her faded brown leather ankle boots.
The pretty caramel blonde completed her outfit with a baggy tee and a bright mint green biker jacket.
She then accessorised with a pair of geek chic black rimmed glasses and a frayed suede shoulder bag.
Fashion-loving Myleene has been pictured on a string of occasions recently, seeming to prefer a more casual look to her trademark red carpet ready appearance.

The presenter and singer wasn't taking any chances with the weather, prioritising warmth over style in her seriously snug look.

A bit disappointing against Liverpool but he works hard and is the first to go and press to win the ball.
He’s a real goal threat, too.

His record speaks for itself, though he has not won a trophy for two years. That will change this season.
