  • They have recreated the looks of Dakota Johnson and Kelly Osbourne
  • Also featured in the picture selection are Oprah and Jennifer Lopez

It's been one of the most talked-about award seasons yet. From Eddie Redmayne's tearful triumph, to Dakota Johnson's awkward red carpet run in with her mother.
But if there is one thing that once again set tongues wagging it's the beautiful gowns on the red carpet.
From Scarlett Johansson's gorgeous green Versace gown to Dakota Johnson's beautiful red Saint Laurent number.

And now the young stars of Toddlewood have recreated, and paid homage to, some of the best Oscars looks of this year following the Academy Awards this weekend.
Including Reese Witherspoon's Armani Prive gown and Jennifer Lopez' gold Ellie Saab ensemble.
Toddlewood is the brain child of New York photographer Tricia Messeroux, who takes everyday children and turns them into celebrities.
In particular Tricia likes to photograph the children in red carpet looks because she says: 'I love fashion, I love photography and I love kids.
'What better way to get everything I love than to Make It Happen Toddlewood-style!'
Tricia has previously worked on transforming children into Grammies stars and hilariously Kim and Kanye.
Here are our favourite Oscar's looks, Toddlewood style...

As one of the world's most in-demand models, looking good is the key to Jourdan Dunn's career.
With countless catwalk appearances and major campaigns under her belt, Jourdan is clearly doing something right...so what's her secret?
FEMAIL caught up with the Maybelline New York ambassadress to find out - and we discovered that an exhaustive eight-step beauty regime that takes her nearly an hour a day is behind her flawless supermodel skin.

Sharing her 'hardcore' beauty regime, Jourdan told us: 'I visited Tokyo and became obsessed with their skincare, which is very advanced. Their regimes have loads more steps but I incorporated some of their techniques into mine and developed my own eight step regime.
'It takes me a good twenty minutes in the morning and then about half an hour in the evening.'

Jourdan, who has been sitting front row at fashion week and is currently the face of Burberry, has picked up some quirky beauty tips during her time in the industry.
Her favourites? 'Hold a credit card behind your lashes when you apply your mascara. If you press against the card you get a wide-eyed, curled effect without getting lots of product on your eyelid,' she advised.
She also swears by using lip balm as an eyeshadow to give a 'glossy' finish (her favourite is Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm), and she often uses the pink tinted ones as blusher.

When it comes to beauty, 24-year-old Jourdan, an accomplished cook who runs her own cookery YouTube channel, believes it's all about what you put in.
'I like to eat healthy,' she said. 'I love good greens and fish and I'm not really a snacker.
'Luckily the backstage catering at fashion week has improved. There used to be nothing or just really boring food but they've really stepped it up. Diane Von Furstenberg even had an amazing gluten-free buffet backstage at her show.'
To keep herself sane amid the backstage madness, Jourdan swears by meditating, which she says helps her 'zone out'. She cites her favourite thing about fashion week as seeing her friends (a roll call of the coolest young models in the industry including Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid).
'I don't get to see my friends very often and travelling around the world for shows can be really lonely and boring so I love it when me and my pals are all together for a catch-up,' she said.

The six foot clothes horse, who has been dubbed the modern-day Naomi Campbell, has been working as the face of Maybelline New York since April last year.
Jourdan joined an elite group of models who have worked for the brand, including Christy Turlington, Adriana Lima, Erin Wasson, Emily DiDonato and Mollie King.
As a Vogue regular, who was scouted in Primark in her teens, Jourdan was on the road to success very early in her career.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kim Kardashian have long championed the lingerie worn as outerwear trend and it seems it's about to go mainstream.
Lingerie giant La Perla unveiled its latest collection on the catwalk in Milan on Friday and the runway was awash with lace bodysuits, cleavage baring leotards and sexy silk jumpsuits.

In keeping with the current trend for luxe lace, the garments came with sheer cutaways adorned with lace and stockings were made from the material du jour.
It has been a stellar year so far for the brand, which was established in 1954 in Bologna, Italy in the kitchen of corset maker, Ada Masotti.
They unveiled an Atelier collection at Paris Couture Fashion Week in January and called on Naomi Campbell, Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, and Lindsey Wixon to showcase the designs.

Earlier this month, La Perla opened the doors to its global flagship on Old Bond Street, London.
Speaking to Vogue at the time, a spokesperson for the brand said: 'For La Perla it was all about fully leveraging the craftsmanship and the fine knowledge of modelling on the female body, which is an integral part of any garment we make.

It is the question that has divided the internet: is this dress white and gold, or blue and black?
The two-toned frock has sparked a fierce online debate, with users taking to social media to argue over what colours they see.
The picture of the dress was first posted on Tumblr by Caitlin McNeill, a 21-year-old aspiring singer from Scotland, after noticing her friends saw different colours in the photograph.
The image has become an online sensation, with posts arguing over the dress's original colours - and science behind the debate - being viewed and shared millions of times.

REVEALING ITS TRUE COLOURS: SCIENCE BEHIND THE DRESS

By Victoria Woollaston for MailOnline
Andrew Lotery, Professor of Ophthalmology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton, told MailOnline that the difference in perception could be due to lighting conditions, the device the image is being viewed on and even a person’s age and gender.
He explained that everyone has different combinations of the genes that create the sense of colour for red, green and blue and because these genes are on the X chromosome, women tend to have more variations.
As a result, women have a more dynamic range of colour so may be more susceptible and sensitive to specific colours. This may explain why women flip between seeing the different colours, and men typically don’t.
He added that some people have more than one ‘dose’ of a blue colour gene, as an example, so they will see higher or lower levels of this colour, too.
Additionally, as people get older their perception of colour changes.
The lens of the eye gradually yellows with age and this exposes more blue, continued Professor Lotery.
This will influence how deep or strong a colour appears and could explain why older people may see the blues and blacks rather than the whites and golds.
He gave the example that painters such as Monet and Rembrandt painted scenes when they were younger that were predominantly one colour, but the same scenes featured more red when painted later in life.
Elsewhere, Professor Lotery said: ‘The occipital lobe is responsible for actually processing the vision and there may be an element of optical illusion to [the photo of the dress].’
Many work by contrasting images and colours, and this contrast could explain the differences seen on the dress.
‘It’s quite a striking contrast between the black and the blue’ continued Professor Lotery.
‘For example, it could be that if the lighting conditions slightly changed, the person viewing the image is getting more stimulus on the blue photo receptor, for example, than the red.
‘On the balance of stimulating one a subtle change in angle could make it flip. This includes the type of room, the monitor, the lighting and so on.
Plus, if your brain is focusing specifically on the differences your vision may be on the cusp of colour recognition and this could cause the differences.’
Other conditions, such as the development of cataracts, changes the way people see the colour blue, and that could play a role too.
And #TheDress started trending worldwide on Twitter as the debate when global. At 3.15pm this afternoon, there had been more than 1 million tweets mentioning the hashtag.
The photograph that started the internet storm was taken by Cecilia Bleasdale while she was deciding on what to wear to her daughter's upcoming wedding.
Ms Bleasdale sent the picture of the frock to her daughter, Grace , to ask the bride-to-be what she thought. Grace, in turn, shared it with her then-fiance, Kier Johnston.
The couple disagreed over the colours of the dress, which can be purchased here, and Grace sought more opinions online.
The bride-to-be then posted the picture on Facebook, and her friends continued to debate the colour of the dress.
The debate was forgotten until Caitlin McNeill, a close friend of the newlyweds, posted the picture on Tumblr days after the wedding, which took place on Saturday on the Scottish island of Colonsay.
Ms McNeill, whose folk band played at the ceremony, shared the photograph on a fan page dedicated to talent manager Sarah Weichel.
Weichel, who represents YouTube stars, told Business Insider last night that her phone began blowing up on Thursday after McNeill's post started going viral.
'The crazy thing is, I actually have nothing to do with the post,' she said. 'But I have been getting a ton of phone calls and emails tonight.'
The page gave the dress the exposure that sent it into the online stratosphere.
It was quickly picked up by bloggers, news outlets and Twitter users, who have spent the last 24 hours commenting on the dress - and the debate it has spared.
Speaking to Business Insider, Ms McNeill, said she couldn't believe the way the dress has exploded online.
She said: 'I thought my followers on Tumblr would maybe have a good reaction, but I never would have considered that Taylor Swift and Mindy Kaling would be tweeting about it.'
Meanwhile, as the newlyweds enjoy their honeymoon in Jamaica, their friends and families have been shocked by the coverage over the dress.
Mr Johnston's mother, Shirley Johnston, 62, said the reaction had been 'really weird' while 26-year-old Lindsay Maden, from Blackpool, who was a bridesmaid at the wedding, described it as 'mental'.
The bride's sister, Angie McPhee, 27, said that she thought the newly-married couple were unaware of the social media storm.
She said: 'I think Grace is going to wake up in Jamaica and think oh my god, what is going on.'
Commenting on how the dress looked on her mother, Miss McPhee said: 'Fabulous. She looked absolutely fabulous on the day.'
Millions have since joined the raging debate - dubbed 'dressgate' - with a number of high-profile celebrities among those who have weighed in on the issue.
Actress Mindy Kaling also joined the discussion, writing on Twitter: 'IT'S A BLUE AND BLACK DRESS! ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME'.
Her friend and fellow actor BJ Novak replied writing, 'white and gold.'

To that, Novak replied to Moore; 'Thank you!And congratulations on your Oscar, which Mindy thinks is purple and green.'
Taylor Swift wrote; 'I don't understand this odd dress debate and I feel like it's a trick somehow.I'm confused and scared.PS it's OBVIOUSLY BLUE AND BLACK.'
And Justin Bieber kept his fans happy by telling them that he sees 'blue and black'.
McNeill said that she never expected the post to prompt such a star-studded debate.
Some celebrities avoided the issue completely, simply declaring that the dress was ugly.
Model Chrissy Teigen told her 655,000 Twitter followers: 'F*** the dress it's heinous. While Oscar-winner Jared Leto branded it 'fugly'.
McNeill said she never expected the picture to spark a star-studded debate, explaining that she just thought her followers on Tumblr would have a 'good reaction'.

The ladies who love latex: How Kim Kardashian, Rita Ora and the Duchess of York have made it the trendiest and most flattering material to be seen in

No comments :

Kim Kardashian and Rita Ora may have made headlines for showing up to a party in near-identical latex dresses but they're not the first - and the won't be the last - to rock the look.
Once the sartorial statement of choice in sex clubs, latex, PVC and wet-look leather has been treated to a high fashion makeover.
It's all the rage among celebrities and supermodels and judging by the catwalks at fashion week, it could well be filling our wardrobes in months to come.

On Thursday night, Rita Ora, 24, stepped out for the Mert & Marcus House of Love party in celebration of Madonna wearing a near-identical latex dress to the queen of curves herself.
Both designs were by Atsuko Kudo and while Kim, 34, went for a high-collared look, Rita's came with a metal adorned choker.
Kim has long championed the style. She wore a strikingly similar look by the same the designer back in November for a fragrance launch in Australia.
The £274 blush pink ensemble was the third time in just a few months Kim Kardashian wore the look, after pouring herself into a black bodice at the GQ Woman Of The Year awards in September, and to watch husband Kanye West perform at Made In America in Los Angeles in August.

Speaking to MailOnline about the bra and pencil skirt combo at the time, the brand’s managing director, Simon Hoare, said: ‘Latex fits so much to the body that to the naked eye it’s very difficult to tell if it’s a top and a skirt, or a dress,’ he said.
Kim’s skin-tight outfit appears to leave little room for underwear, and Simon admitted it generally looks better if the wearer does go sans pants.
‘It’s probably better without if you can manage it – but I’d have to leave that up to the lady in question’.
The co-founder of the label said that they have met with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star to discuss her beloved latex outfits.
‘We have met Kim and chatted about what she likes,’ he confirmed.
‘Atsko designs with 100 per cent the female body in mind, and of course Kim is just embodying the feminine shape right now.
‘[The outfits] are very feminine and very empowering.’

LMAO. Did Dencia just shade the heck out of Lupita Nyong'o?

Yesterday, we all heard that the $150k dress Lupita Nyong'o wore to the Oscars was stolen from her hotel room in LA (read here). Is that an epic shade to her from her 'arch-enemy', Dencia?

The blue/black, white/gold dress sales are through the roof

Remember the dress that went viral online that I posted this morning asking you guys if the colour was blue/black or white/gold? (read here). Well, according to TMZ, half the world now wants the dress - which is actually blue and black. Read the report below...
"The company behind #TheDress has put the debate to bed -- it's blue and black -- and the hubbub has done wonders for its business ... thanks to the hashtag hysteria.
#TheDress phenomenon began after a woman posted a photo of her mother's dress for her wedding ... asking people to ID the color. From there...explosion  with the likes of Justin Bieber (blue and black), Kim K (white and gold), and Taylor Swift (blue and black) all weighing in. Continue...
A rep for the company that makes the dress, Roman Originals, tells TMZ the dress is blue and black, but it also comes in pink and black, white and black and red and black. There isn't a white and gold option yet ... but Roman is looking to add it to the line because of all the commotion.

As for business, Roman Originals says sales are up 347%.
