'She said yes!' Michael Phelps announces surprise engagement to on/off girlfriend Nicole Johnson

Michael Phelps is engaged to his on/off girlfriend Nicole Johnson.
The
29-year-old swimmer first started seeing the 201 Miss California USA in
2007 and they stayed friendly despite numerous break-ups before
rekindling their relationship late last year.
Sharing
a picture of them on Instagram, in an embrace while lying in the snow,
Michael wrote: 'She said yes,' while Nicole shared a similar picture and
wrote 'I'm gonna be a Mrs.'

Swimmer
Allison Schmitt also shared a picture of herself with the happy couple,
which revealed Nicole's large diamond engagement ring.
She wrote: 'CAN NOT BE MORE EXCITED FOR THE SOON TO BE MR & MRS PHELPS #beautifullove #itsreal #truelove #congrats.'
Gold
medallist swimmer Michael and Nicole's last break-up is believed to
have been in 2012 before they rekindled their romance in November after
he was released from rehab.

it was reported that the former Subway pitchman had a sizzling romance
in September with Taylor Lianne Chandler, an intersex blonde who starred
in a pornographic video with Vivid Entertainment inspired by their
thrilling sex that made her feel 'like the most beautiful woman in the
world,' reported TMZ.

Chandler admitted on a Facebook post
that she was born an 'intersex' – someone who had male genitalia, but
no testicles, while also having a uterus and no ovaries - with the name
David Roy Fitch.
She later had surgery.

She wrote: 'I was never a man, never lived as a man. No one can say they knew me as a man or produce a photo of me as a man.
'There are people that remember me as an androgynous child at times because of what was forced upon me.'

suspended sentence and 18 months probation
Last
year the athlete pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of
alcohol and received 18 months of supervised probation and a one-year
suspended jail sentence, following his drink driving arrest early on
Sept. 30 in Baltimore, Maryland.
His intersex lover claimed she was with the star at the time of the arrest.
'The
last three months of my life have been some of the hardest times I've
ever gone through, some of the biggest learning experiences I've ever
had,' the Olympian told reporters, adding,'I'm happy to be moving
forward. I'll continue to grow from this.'
